Morning Glory
by Nan Byrne
This thing I know is true. Life is a horse race
One horse starting from the gate heading straight to the
Finish line, another following neck on neck, and I am
Clearing each hurdle as if I am galloping forward
Nothing ahead of me except the mud track while all around me the
Green meadows and the clear blue sky
Morning Glory – Horse who performs well in morning workouts but fails to reproduce that form in races.
